SVP, Acquisition Growth Strategy, Cashback Credit Cards- Hybrid
The specific responsibilities for this role are as follows –
- Drive portfolio growth strategy: Develop a long-term strategy to grow the Cash portfolio, in terms of how best to increase accounts, revenue and profit. This strategy will focus on new approaches to segment the credit card market, drawing new insights from analyses that will be used to improve prospect targeting, considering segment spend and lend behavior, transaction size and frequency, and behavioral and financial attributes.
- Drive acquisition analytics: Develop new approaches to improve prospect quality and profitable volumes through recommendations for offers, pricing, policy changes, fees, and customer communications. Set the Acquisition testing agenda based on review and analysis of past analytical work and tracking of acquisition metrics including accounts, response rate, sales, losses, balance retention. Defend rollout recommendations via modeling out scenarios and developing business cases. Develop monitoring and tracking system to evaluate tests for rollout recommendations at a one account, vintage and portfolio level and the impact of financials over time.
- Evolve product strategy for acquisitions: Develop a medium-term recommendation on need for product refreshes and / or new product development to drive acquisition growth for the portfolio. Also evaluate the role of advertising and social media influencers in growing awareness and consideration of our cashback products.
- Manage the Cash acquisition growth strategy team on day-to-day basis to ensure clear accountability, goals, and direction for team members.
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in economics, finance, accounting, engineering, mathematics, statistics, business, computer science or related quantitative discipline and 10 plus years of relevant experience in the lending space.
- Experience must include
Strong analytical skills, particularly with financial management and forecasting; high degree of comfort with credit card P&L’s. Experience in scenario development and forecasting to aid in business case development for portfolio growth and marketing investment. Very comfortable in vintage analysis and impact on financials over time.
Deep strategic experience in credit cards and the credit card industry, particularly in the impact of various decisions on financial performance
Strong communication skills particularly in writing; designing slides and presentations to persuasively make the argument and particularly in designing analyses that specifically support arguments
Strong drive and initiative – able to push forward in face of multiple priorities and obstacles – extremely practical bent to work planning and getting things done
High degree of comfort with structuring analysis using large datasets, e.g., setting up Access queries, designing macros in Excel
