SVP Credit and Portfolio, CPB Risk

Working closely with the Regional Risk Head, the Credit Portfolio Senior Officer will develop an in-depth understanding of the Citi Private Banking (CPB) business in Asia, across credit product programs (e.g. Margin Lending, Capital Markets, Real Estate, Art, Aircraft, Unsecured) and legal jurisdictions (with booking centers in Singapore, Hong Kong, India and Australia) and will work extensively with internal stakeholders (Investment Finance, Banking, COO Office, Compliance, Legal) as well as with external partners like Ernst & Young to ensure that a comprehensive governance environment is maintained.  


Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Inventory Mapping for CPB AP Booking Centers (SG, HK, Mumbai). Work with E&Y to link Regulations to CPB MCA Controls.
  • Product Program Infrastructure:  Administration of Programs (AP RRE, Insurance, Secured Tailored, Unsecured).  Portfolio Reviews
  • Stress Testing - Oversee consistency and quality of stress-testing for the various Product Programs, coordinate CCAR and ad-hoc stress tests
  • Matrix oversight for Risk Governance officer in Singapore
  • Manage relationship between CPB Risk AP and the Risk Management Reporting Team
  • Coordinate Presentations for internal forums and committees (e.g. RMCF, ARRMC, ICG Credit Council)
  • Coordinate CPB Risk input into presentations for external meetings (e.g. AP CRO quarterly review US Regulators, CPB Risk global quarterly review with US Regulators)
  • Coordinate internal and external reviews and deliverables (e.g. FCR, IA, Regulatory Exams).
  • Coordinate Risk Training for CPB Risk and CPB AP Business.
  • Interface with the local regulators in Asia, in particular India, Singapore and Hong Kong.
  • Ensure a consistent control environment across portfolios and Citi Solutions Centers (CSCs) to manage operational risk, ensuring oversight of key contractual deliverables
  • Identify opportunities to improve business performance, effectiveness and efficiency through process improvements and talent management
  • Negotiate internally and externally to have major impact on the area managed and possibly on other related areas and organization as a whole
  • Support portfolio performance monitoring and diagnostics
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience in stakeholder management
  • In-depth knowledge of the industry and direct competitors' products/services
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations and the current environment which govern our policies and practices
  • Comprehensive understanding of strategic direction of the function including related systems, theories and practices
  • Comprehensive conceptual/practical grounding in the function and/or expertise in related subject areas
  • Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication to influence and negotiate with a wide range of audiences

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree preferred
