Markets Operations Belfast Overview:

Our Operations groups are core to the success of the Markets business.  We support a wide range of internal stakeholders including Front Office Sales and Trading Desks, Compliance, Legal, Finance and HR; alongside having significant interaction with external clients, playing a key role in the overall client experience.

Role Overview:

The Equity Derivatives Middle Office team provide support to multiple trading desks. We perform reconciliations to ensure risk is accurately reflected while also providing support for queries. We work closely with multiple internal teams assisting to resolve issues across different trade flows. We work in a fast paced environment with new challenges every day, while continually seeking to improve our existing processes, which can involve system enhancements or ongoing project work.

What you’ll do:

• Provide analytical and administrative support with transactions
• Identify operational risk to minimize bank risk, and provide solutions to reduce errors, and ensure adherence to audit and control policies
• Manage, escalate and resolve all requests,  inquiries and issues.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, manging and reporting control issues with transparency.

• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
• Attention to detail and problem solving skills

Successful candidates will attend a three week Market Operations Training Academy if required. This aims to help you understand how Markets Operations work and where your role fits in in Citi while also providing you with all the tools needed to be the best you can be in your new role.
