The Communications team is a nimble team in ESPA (Enterprise Services and Public Affairs) that covers a broad scope of responsibilities ranging from media relations to employee communications, branding, and community development. The nature of the work is dynamic and the team partners with senior leaders and other members of ESPA across the world. This is a high energy, hardworking and affable team. Responsibilities:

  • Assist and occasionally lead in creating, coordinating and executing effective communications programs to inform and engage employees; content includes articles, presentations, town halls, events, and intranet content.
  • Support and occasionally lead initiatives in web and other external communications, adapting strategies to meet the needs of a global financial landscape.
  • Coordinate and implement ongoing maintenance of intranet site, e.g., refresh content, answer questions from colleagues, work with intranet liaisons.
  • Prepare and distribute internal announcements; maintain group distribution lists for various communication needs.
  • Monitor and report on web/SharePoint/EDT (E-mail Distribution Technology) analytics, using insights to guide strategic decisions and improve colleague/external engagement and user experience.
  • Liaise with site wide committees to coordinate communications and plan events.
  • Collaborate with teams across different functions and businesses to synchronize communication efforts with overarching corporate strategies, enhancing both the visibility and reputation for Citi.
  • Serve as a key resource as a core member of the Communications team, guiding our stakeholders with the right information and executing tasks with speed and excellence.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment within a heavily matrixed organization, as well as independently when required (self starter)
  • Strong communications (written and verbal) skills, Native Level in Japanese, Business Level in English
  • Integrity, maturity, dependability, a positive professional attitude
  • A team player who will implement initiatives effectively and motivate others to perform their tasks
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Track record of success in delivering high quality work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Critical competencies include oral communication, written communication, project management, relationship building, results orientation and strategic orientation

Education:

  • Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience
