Vice President, Japan Technology Business Execution Lead

The Technology Business Execution Lead is a senior level hands-on position responsible for the overall business execution activities of Japan Cluster Technology. These tasks include running activities to support day to day execution agenda for Japan Technology, Japan in-country business execution, regulatory commitments, and transformation. This role will coordinate and manage activities such as the tracking of business financials, employee headcount and other administrative needs. May manage ad hoc projects as requested.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as business execution lead person to support Japan Cluster Technology
  • Run day to day activities to support Technology and Japan in-country business execution agenda
  • Coordinate and own activities for technology related regulatory and Citi transformation commitments
  • Serve as communications lead on strategy development and execution for internal business messaging
  • Advance organization/people strategy goals including communications strategy, talent strategy, and employee engagement initiatives
  • Assist leadership in promoting and executing communications program
  • Drive operational efficiency and productivity/ cost savings initiatives in partnership with the senior management team
  • Participate in People Engagement Working Group and promote Voice of the Employee (VOE) communications
  • Identify and develop business content for deployment, to enhance brand awareness with stakeholders and local community
  • Advise, write and edit on organization-wide initiative documents and communications
  • Develop and maintain communication standards and procedures; serve as subject matter expert on communication tools and applications
  • Develop regular reporting metrics to monitor and measure impact of Technology execution plan
  • Complete financial deliverables including monthly forecasts, the annual investment process, client reporting and ad hoc requests
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in a financial services role
  • Working experience in Technology organization
  • Communications or marketing experience preferred
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of financial services industry
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills required
  • Demonstrable experience working in a complex organization with local, regional and global teams
  • Excellent influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills
  • This role requires multi-tasking, organization and the ability to quickly acquire and easily comprehend required knowledge
  • The candidate must be able to work with teams as well as independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Fluent in Japanese and English

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
