The Business Group Manager is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas. Leads and directs a team of professionals. Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Strong commercial awareness is a necessity. Generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication may be necessary. Accountable for the end results of an area. Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning. Primarily affects a sub-function. Involved in short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area. Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.

Responsibilities:

  • This position holds responsibilities for the global review, development and implementation of business process improvements. This position will also coordinate efforts for global area integration to achieve operational efficiency objectives. The position ensures that allocation expenses are correct (calculation and distribution methodology) and will also control and streamline processes for better comprehensive customer service.
  • Monitoring both scheduled and unscheduled reviews to completion.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.


Qualifications:

  • 10+ years experience in project administration and background in operational areas.
  • Experience managing limited resources that are requested to offer outstanding results.
  • Experience in finance and processes administration.
  • Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, flexible, and innovative approach to operational management.
  • Passion, humility, integrity, positive attitude, mission oriented, and self-directed.
  • Excellent influencing, facilitation, and partnering skills with key stakeholders and Senior Management.
  • Strategic and goal-oriented thinker.
  • Effective interpersonal skills – including teamwork and organizational skills.
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent public speaking skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred

Role may include full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute contracting best practices for Facilities & Construction (F&C) requests for proposals (RFPs), ensuring these practices are in accordance with Procurement Policy, aligned with F&C strategy and relevant industry.
  • Develop Contracting Strategies and Contract Execution Plans in support of Real Estate Initiatives and Strategy and obtain signoff from the relevant stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Coordinate the development of Bid Evaluation Criteria and Plan with the Global Sourcing and F&C Stakeholders
  • Develop the Scope of Work (SOW) and the appropriate commercial compensation structure for the scope.
  • Incorporate risk elimination/mitigation processes into contract strategies and bid documentation.
  • Manage relationships with various Facilities & Construction vendor partners, develop alternatives to the existing typical contractors and possible alternative strategies.
  • Development and implementation of effective contract and supplier/vendor management strategies, to extract maximum value from contracts, motivate performance and drive innovation.
  • Proactive monitoring and contract management, to deliver enduring contract-life value-for-money solutions.
  • Monitoring supplier performance against KPIs, to deliver successful outcomes (time, cost, performance, innovation, etc.)
  • Providing timely feedback on supplier performance issues, successes, and contractual risk to senior leaders across Facilities & Construction
  • Enforcing contracts through generating considerations, identifying performance trends and taking appropriate action, evaluating non-conformance, and applying enforcement tools and remedies to secure consideration and compensation as appropriate
  • Conducting peer contract assurance prior to internal Facilities & Construction approvals, ensuring the correct commercial arrangements and considerations have been implemented.
  • Execute Post Award Contracts Management (for contracts assigned to the incumbent) and support the management of Contractors Relationships:
  • Compile data to assist in periodic reviews of Contractors' performance (Performance Scorecards/Metrics) against established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Manage and Report on approved contract values (e.g., up-to-date Current Contract Value, Forecast Contract Value Vs. Approved Contract Value) and spend against Approved Contract Value to ensure governance.

Qualifications

  • Undergrad degree in an Engineering, Technical or Business discipline with high commercial affinity.
  • 10+ years of applicable work experience.
  • Preferably prior experience in Quantity Surveying or Contracts Management.
  • Strong Commercial and Business acumen.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrable ability to adapt and perform in a constantly changing project environment.
  • Strong communication and Negotiations Skills.
  • Collaborate working relationship with diverse stakeholders to drive best value, mitigate Commercial risks, and mitigate disputes or claims against the project.
  • Forward Thinker with good anticipation of potential changes or disputes that can impact the project.

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$176,720.00 - $265,080.00
