Responsibilities
The Finance Transformation Group, in conjunction with the Function execution teams, is responsible for the successful delivery of complex regulatory and cross-business transformational Initiative(s) as part of Citi’s Transformation. This role, a senior member of the Finance Transformation Office, will facilitate and guide the strategic target state remediation of Citi’s Liquidity capabilities. The FTO Lead for Liquidity role requires a broad and comprehensive understanding of systems and practices relevant to the Treasury function as well as practical experience in Liquidity, regulatory reporting and data. In-depth knowledge of the products/services is necessary to contribute to setting the strategic direction.
This position will report into the Head of Finance Transformation and will involve driving alignment and achieving outcomes across the firm, including senior partners in the businesses, Finance, Risk and Technology. Excellent communication skills are required in order to influence the wide range of audiences. This is a highly strategic role that requires strong leadership skills with the ability to build high performing teams, effective regulatory interaction and C-level interaction. A proven track record in delivering large, complex bodies of work is required as the Transformation Head will develop medium-to-long-term plans and execute functional strategies, requiring coordination and integration across businesses, functions and geographies.
Responsibilities:
· Facilitates and guides strategic Treasury transformation execution in a fast paced environment, to tight timelines.
· Supplements the Program Execution team with surge capacity for the definition of a strategic architecture and implementation of strategic data solutions, common processes and integrated technology platforms, when needed.
· Facilitates and guides the review and re-planning efforts and recommends objectives, policies, and plans to get work back on track
· Identifies opportunities to scale efficiencies and identify new ways of working.
· Escalates early when expectations are not being met or support is required and has authority to negotiate and make independent decisions on issues/activities that have critical impact to the function.
· Ensures risk reduction across the transformation by ensuring work is appropriately resourced, thoughtfully planned, focused on outcomes and has clear ownership
· Frequently involved in a wide range of diverse activities that require strategic vision and analysis. The job is typically required to think beyond the existing solutions, assumptions or current knowledge of sophisticated areas that ultimately affect the business/geographic region or a major segment of it.
· C-Level executive communication and effective regulatory interaction
· Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications:
· 20+ years of relevant experience within the financial services industry required.
· Experience in Liquidity Management or Treasury function within a financial services setting.
· Broad understanding of liquidity risk management associated with all products of the balance sheet.
· Understanding of key liquidity regulations such as Reg YY, FR 2052a and LCR
· Knowledge and expertise in Program Management, including Project Management and/or management reporting and analysis. Requires a broad and comprehensive understanding of the different Finance systems and practices relevant to the function.
· In-depth knowledge of the industry and emerging regulation is also necessary in order to contribute to the objectives of the function. Requires thorough understanding of strategic direction of the function within the business, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in both the function and/ or area of expertise.
· Excellent communication skills required in order to influence a wide range of audiences.
· Markets or Traded Products experience
Education:
· Bachelors/University degree, Master’s degree preferred; significant managerial experience
